Excellent!! The endeavor to buy a new cylinder can indeed prove to be difficult. With all the different models and dimensions, you need excellent advice. Especially when you measured the dimensions, like I did, without a measuring tape. Despite these circumstances, thanks to the Mainz key shop, I found the right one on the second attempt (my own fault). Additionally, I received 2 keychains as a gift. Very friendly and competent!

I received the wrong key (it can happen). Therefore, I wanted a correction and went back. The employee on site (another one who made the key for me) said that this wouldn't work, as they couldn't make keys for padlocks. When I asked to at least get my money back, he said that wouldn't work either and that it could only be offset and I would have to buy a new padlock here. Instead of discussing that I am entitled to either a correction of the key or a refund according to German Civil Code, I decided to go back the next day, hoping to catch an honest employee. Fortunately, this time I encountered another employee who corrected the key, which then actually fit into the desired lock - so it worked after all! This means either the employee from the previous day had no idea or wanted to deceive me - since he didn't ask his colleagues, who were also in the shop, I actually suspect the latter. So be careful who you encounter here, as not all employees in this shop seem to do their job honestly.
