I thought I would never need a locksmith. But when I locked myself out on the way to the mailbox last week, it was time. Luckily, I had my smartphone with me. I googled for a locksmith and tried to find one from the region, as I had already seen a report about 0800 scam locksmiths and wanted to avoid that, of course. By chance, I called the locksmith HWI-Sicherheit. The technician arrived at my door after half an hour and opened it. I paid the price of 80 euros that we agreed on the phone. I think that is completely reasonable for an emergency service...

Hello, I locked myself out of my apartment in downtown Braunschweig last week. After several unsuccessful attempts to open the door myself, I searched online for a locksmith and chose HWI-Sicherheit. After about 45 minutes, a friendly technician arrived at my apartment. First, I had the price confirmed again, and then the technician opened my door within 5 minutes without causing any damage. I can therefore rate the work as very good and the price as good, especially since I paid a significantly higher price in the same situation last year. All in all, I was satisfied with the service.

The pricing is extremely opaque, first it is said that the standard price would be €79 (the internet initially states €39), then the presence time is nicely stretched by chatting, so another 15 minutes are added, although it was actually only 1 minute over, and then the VAT is added, in the end almost €120 instead of €79! I call that customer-friendly!

The locksmith helped us on a Sunday, which was also a holiday. After about 40 minutes of waiting, a friendly man arrived who opened our door relatively quickly and did not damage it in any way. The price-performance ratio was really completely fine, despite the holiday surcharge. Therefore, this locksmith can be recommended.
